“The DIY Street Fair is a free 2-day, 3-night event in Ferndale, Michigan where local artists, crafters, businesses, groups and organizations, musicians, restaurants, brewers and others who live and work with a do-it-yourself ethic converge for one big celebration. The event, which launched its first weekend fair in 2008, showcases the immense creative energy, independent spirit and innovative talent that can be found throughout the area. Open to the public, free to attend and all are welcome. DIY Street Fair is located on E Troy Street, off of Woodward Avenue, 1 block South of E 9 Mile Road the in Ferndale, MI. It will occupy the municipal parking lots just west of the Ferndale Public Library and south of Troy Street behind Woodward Avenue Brewers.”

It’s that time of year again- the weather is getting slightly cooler at night, the taste for lighter foods is dwindling and is replaced by a hankering for comfort foods that fill the stomach and tickle the brain. What better way to ring in the season than with apple cider and donuts? This fall tradition is a wonderful and tasty way to mark the beginning of Michigan’s most colorful season.

Labor Day weekend is here, and if you’re planning on grilling any time during the weekend, we have everything you need. All weekend long, our hours will remain unchanged, but on Monday, we will be open from 8am until 6pm, in celebration of the actual holiday.
