2011 Green Cruise

August 13th was the seventh annual Ferndale Green Cruise - an event which brings together those who love non-motorized transportation. The event is mainly bicycle-centered, with mass rides through the community and a large number of cyclists taking part in the feature attraction - The Green Parade. Other environmental causes were touted as well, and of course Western Market was there making a big show of our love for this planet.

Every once in a while we like to switch things up here at Western Market. One of the biggest changes has been the new wall of candy, nuts and dried fruits that borders the produce and grocery aisles. Not only does the new “Great Wall of Candy and Nuts” provide an amazing variety of snacks, the company we’ve teamed up with has the tough local spirit that we love about many of our distributors.
